Cape Coral Villa with boat
Through the canals and to the islands by boat
Cape Coral sits on a beautiful peninsula with the Caloosahatchee River on one side and Matlacha Pass on the other. With over 400 miles of navigable waters, fishing and boating come naturally in Cape Coral.
Cape Coral's canals are teeming with fish, manatees, dolphins, turtles, snakes, and more wildlife. Every day it is a highlight for vacationers to observe this species-rich animal world from the villa's boat deck. Ideally with a glass of delicious wine.

Fish diversity in Southwest Florida
Try your fishing luck right off the dock at your vacation villa – numerous fish live in the canals and lakes so you probably won't need much luck but simply the right equipment and a fishing license.
You can find fishing equipment in fishing stores or at Walmart. Fishing licenses can be purchased by calling toll-free 1-888 FISH FLORIDA (347-4356) or online at the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) website. The website also provides information on fishing regulations.
Florida fishing vacations include freshwater and saltwater choices and accordingly fish such as snapper, grouper, and trout as well as snook in saltwater or bass in freshwater.
Fishing Tips: The "Fishing Pier" at the Cape Coral marina is a hotspot for fishing. If you cast your line in the evening, you will experience breathtaking sunsets while fishing. The pier is illuminated at night.
The Causeway Beaches on Sanibel Island also invite you to fish.
If you don't fish but want to enjoy fine seafood, try one of the seafood restaurants in Cape Coral.
